Glancy Family Cookbook Volume II, chapter 5

Yields 13" x 9" pan
Really, you can use any favorite chocolate-chip cookie recipe; spread in the pan and bake!
Ingredients
2 sticks
butter
1 cup
brown sugar
1/2 cup
granulated sugar
2
eggs
2 tsp
vanilla
2 1/4 cups
flour
1 tsp
salt
1 tsp
baking soda
12 oz
chocolate chips (OIB blondies use Ghiradelli)
Steps
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, blending well after each. Blend in vanilla.
Add flour/salt/baking soda in thirds. If you'd like, first blend them in a small bowl (I don't bother). Blend only until flour is incorporated.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Spread into greased 13" x 9" pan. Bake for about 20 minutes, or for a few minutes after they begin smelling delicious.
