Veal Parmigiana

Ingredients
2 lb
veal cutlets, 1/4" thick or thinly sliced
1
egg, beaten
1/4 tsp
salt
dash of
pepper
3/4 cup
breadcrumbs
5 tbsp
Parmesan cheese, grated
1/8 tsp
oregano
olive oil, or shortening
1 can
tomato sauce
1/2 lb
mozzarella cheese, sliced thin
Steps
Pound cutlets and dip into egg which has been seasoned with salt and pepper.
Dip into a combination of breadcrumbs, 3 tbsp Parmesan, and oregano.
Sauté cutlets in oil until well browned.
Place in a shallow baking dish. Pour tomato sauce over cutlets, then top with slices of mozzarella cheese.
Sprinkle with remaining Parmesan.
Bake in a 375 degree oven, about 20 minutes.
Serve with garlic shells and extra sauce.
