Ingredients
fresh strawberries
sugar
Sara Lee poundcake
whipped cream
Steps
Core strawberries and slice. Put in bowl with a tablespoonful (or more, depending on how ripe strawberries are) of sugar.
The sugar brings out the natural juices in the fruit, and makes a little strawberry juice.
To serve, place a slice of poundcake on a plate. Top with strawberries and then whipped cream.
Drizzle a little juice on top and garnish with a strawberry or two.
Homemade poundcake or shortbread may also be used.
