Herb Butter

Ingredients

1/2 cup green onions
1/2 cup parsley
2 cloves garlic
2 tbsp fresh or 1 tsp dried basil
1/2 tbsp fresh or 1/2 tsp dried oregano
1 tbsp fresh or 1 tsp dried marjoram
1 tbsp fresh or 1 tsp dried tarragon
1 tbsp fresh or 1 tsp dried dill weed
1 tsp pepper
a dash Tabasco
1 lb unsalted butter

Steps

Soften the butter slightly and blend the ingredients thoroughly in a food processor.
Refrigerate until ready to use.
Herb butter is delicious on French bread toasted, or toast triangles. It can also be used on steaks, hamburgers, veal scallopini, or steamed vegetables. The herb butter recipe can easily be halved; it will still make more than enough butter for 1 pound of chicken.
