Ingredients
1 small round wheel
Gouda (in the red wax)
1 can
Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
egg wash
Steps
Separate crescent rolls into two large squares.
Cut cheese laterally in half and then in pieces to fit on one square of crescent roll.
Place second square of crescent roll on top. Seal edges with fork.
Score top lightly with knife. If desired, brush lightly with egg wash.
Bake at 375 degrees for 11-13 minutes. Let cool slightly.
Serve on large platter, cut into squares.
Great with sliced apples!
Variation: bottom layer of crescent roll can be spread lightly with a mustard of your choice prior to baking.
