The Glancy Cookbook, chapter 1

Ingredients
1 1/2 lb
ground beef
1 1/2 lb
elbow or salad macaroni, uncooked
1/2 cup
onion, minced
1/2 cup
green pepper, chopped
2 8-oz cans
Hunt's tomato sauce
1 cup
water
1 tsp
salt
1/4 tsp
pepper
1 to 1 1/2 tbsp
Worcestershire sauce
Steps
Lightly brown beef in skillet. Remove from skillet.
Cook macaroni, onion, and green pepper in meat fat until onion is soft. (If meat fat is not sufficient to prevent sticking, add vegetable oil.)
Return meat to skillet. Add tomato sauce, water, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce.
Cover and simmer 25 minutes, or until macaroni is cooked to suit your taste.
We're sure Mom didn't include the green pepper.
