Heart 'n' Hand Chocolate Pie

Ingredients

9" pie shell, baked (regular or graham cracker)
2 cups sugar
4 rounded tbsp flour
4 rounded tbsp dry cocoa
1/2 cup butter or margarine
5 egg yolks, slightly beaten
2 1/4 cups milk
1 tsp vanilla
whipped cream

Steps

Mix together sugar, flour, and dry cocoa.
Melt butter in 10" skillet. Add sugar, flour, cocoa mixture; mix lightly.
In separate bowl, combine beaten egg yolks with milk. Add to butter mixture, stirring constantly.
Cook slowing until really thick (takes a long time).
Remove from heat; add vanilla, blend well, and put into baked pie shell.
Chill in refrigerator until firm. Serve topped with whipped cream.
