Decorator's Frosting

Frosting for Decorated Cookies recipe.

Ingredients

1 egg white
dash salt
1/4 tsp cream of tartar
1 1/4 cups confectioners sugar, approximately
1/4 tsp vanilla

Steps

Beat egg white, salt, and cream of tartar together on high speed until stiff peaks form.
Gradually beat in enough sugar to make frosting thick enough to spread. Stir in vanilla.
While working with frosting, keep in small bowl, covered with a damp cloth. Frosting will become very hard as it dries.
