The Glancy Cookbook, chapter 10

Ingredients
1 cup
butter or margarine, softened
1/2 cup
granulated sugar
2 1/2 cups
flour
confectioners sugar, for dusting
Steps
Beat butter/margarine with sugar until light and fluffy. Stir in flour until smooth and well combined.
Refrigerate dough, covered, for several hours.
Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
Divide dough into 2 parts.
On lightly floured surface, roll out dough, 1/3 inch thick. Cut out cookies (flour the cutters).
Bake on ungreased cookie sheets approximately 20-25 minutes, or until cooked.
When cool, dust with confectioners sugar.
